The cold gets worse when the run gets loud.
Quick answer.
Cold is a hard timer whenever you go outside. If you need roof access for a delivery, extraction path, or forced repair, carry heat pads first and keep the trip focused.
What triggers cold pressure
Going outside steadily drains your temperature meter. Once it hits zero, health starts dropping. That makes every outdoor task a time-costed mission.
When to spend a heat pad
- You are retrieving a roof delivery and expect a second outdoor action soon after.
- The train has forced an exterior repair and you cannot afford a stumble.
- You are entering a storm sequence already low on margin.
How broken windows make cold worse
Storms can damage windows, and if too many windows are broken the train becomes much harder to keep warm. That is why shutter management and repair priority overlap.
